another strange message from my favourite customer server.
The machine is installed as a server only machine, and did run under 5.5 til last month. Then i did upgrade (via 5.6) to 6.x. But the "effect" also did happen under 5.5 and still exists now, and was one of the reasons why we did the upgrade.
For some users (at all there are just 30 user accounts installed, but it happens only at about 10 of them) the installed chroot package from dungog.net does not work. If the userdir is changed to somewhere else, the user still is logged into his home dir.
The proftpd.conf show that the changes initiated by chroot menu are made, but it still does not work.
i.e.: if user "webaccess" is redirected to the primaray web (and he of course is a member of this group) and tries to ftp into teh machine, then his homedir is not the primary web but his own old homedir with no ability to change.
as is said before, this happenedmonths ago under 5.5 and still exists under the upgraded 6.x and newest chroot packages.
very strange machine.... where is the skrewdriver?
