Outlook Problems
« on: January 22, 2005, 04:06:12 AM »
Hi,

I'm using SME v6.0.1-1, and i configured the server for webmail with public access without any problem I can send and receive emails. However when I configured
my outlook and I send an Email from my Outlook I get this "553 Sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts.". This problem is only when I try to send email from any machine in my LAN but I can get emails via pop into my outlook.

I need help!

Thanks in advance

Into LAN, configure your SMTP server to the SMTP of your ISP.

In my LAN I configure POP3 to:
192.168.0.1 (or the IP of your SME box)
and SMTP to:
smtp.arnet.com.ar (this is the SMTP server of my ISP)
Some ISP has SMTP names to:
relay.myisp.com
mail.myisp.com
or simple smtp.myisp.com

Outside LAN. I configure my Outlook to:
pop3.myserver.com
and SMTP to:
smtp.myisp.com
This one is the SMTP provided for the ISP you have in this moment in your PC
Always your SMTP configuration in outlook is the SMTP provide for your ISP. Remember you send trough SMTP of your ISP.
This is the case you have a server/gateway and you have a registered DNS domain to access outside LAN.

Do you have more than one local network?
I had the same error today at a customer's server.
All Outlook clients from the second network (192.168.55.0) where not able to send mails to the outside (local mails to other local users where ok), Outlook clients with the same range as the SME server (192.168.155.0) did it.

Then I just added the 192.168.55.0 Network under Security - Local networks and it worked immediately.

may be this software will solve ur problem guys..
