Just wondering before I go ahead and am faced with another hair pulling night - is USB Cardreaders supported by the kernel?
Reason being, going to use a cardreader as backup as I can get a smart media card 512mb for like £30, and will use that in conjunction with a Sony Memory stick in my 7in1 card reader. Plan then on mounting the relevant media discs and creating a cron job that backs up to the card on an hourly/nightly basis
