Web server behind SME Server
« on: February 02, 2005, 10:25:54 AM »
Hi there all.

I am running SME Server 6.0.1-01.

Behind my SME server I have a web server that holds my yum repositories for various flavours of linux.

I need to be able to access these repositories from "in front" of the firewall.

How can I set up the SME server to allow me to do this?
I have thought of maybe setting up some port forwarding rule, but I still need to access the server-manager from "in front" of the firewall as well.

Any advice would be great.

Regards

Darryn

There are many versions of "portforwarding".rpm in the download section, for sme 6.0.1 ( http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/smeserver/releases/6.0.1/os/e-smith/RPMS/e-smith-portforwarding-0.2.0-02.noarch.rpm ) to acomplish your first goal.
For the second one you can download putty.exe ( http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html )
