OT/small email client than read the email from sme-server
« on: February 03, 2005, 08:40:23 PM »
Ok - bit of a weird one - wondeirng if there is a small email cleint app that I can run off say a pen drive than can read the emails direct from how how sme-server stores then

Reason being - user copying emails to a pendrive/samrt media card. Takes to another pc say running xp - the OT bit as windows and not linux - and wants to read the email files on drive.

Is there like a small email client that does this?

.. the progs are small enough to be installed on the USB/pen drive and store their data there as well.  The pen drive is therefore almost totally independent of the computer itself; access the pen drive & run the executable (Eudora for example stores all its config data in .ini files with the program).

Sorry - but I want an app that can directly access the emails that sme -server creates and are hence stored on sdcard

Eg, I backup scott's emails from email folder on sme-server to sdcard.
on sdcard install small - email client that can see these emails
Take sdcard to another pc - put in sdcard, start email app and read stored emails
