Has anyone tried this with SME?  Installation instructions/ideas?

It would be a nice addition to SME for me -- I'll try and get it installed, but I'm still learning the linux landscape.

Let us know how you get on - IMP nearly works on my phone but not quite. It would be good to try MIMP.

If I have time to set up a test server I could also try this - but not this week.

set your phone url to be www.yourdomain.com/horde/mimp.  When I tested this with my phone, it wanted to to run imp as well.  So, I manually changed the url and it worked fine.  I don't know why my phone tried imp instead of mimp.
