vacation message .. how many times is it sent?

I configured the dungog contrib for vacation messages, but would like to know how many times the vacation message is sent to a particular email? only one?

After some trials I determined that the vacation email is sent only once to each address. Is there any way I can change this?.

I need to have the vacation emails being sent every time an email is received.
