I installed mrtg using the following:
http://sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/index.html?frame=http%3A//sme.swerts-knudsen.dk/howtos/howto_6.htm

But now I'm getting a cron message every 5 mins about snmp that isn't responding.  Here is a snippet:

SNMP Error:

                    retries: 5

SNMPGET Problem for dskPercent.1 dskPercent.1 sysUptime sysName on public@localhost

What do I do?  how can I either fix this or remove the mrtg package as a whole?

zoran,

Did you run the manual or automatic installation?

You can uninstall by removing:

/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/crontab/mrtg

and then run

/sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/crontab

Then you can remove the ibay again.

I did the automatic install, but it was wierd, after a reboot, those erros went away, and mrtg is running normally.  Thanky very much!!!

Last question on this..  In the admin panle of /server-manager it get listed at the bottom under an Unknown category.  how do I move that to the Administration category?

Run the following command:

/etc/e-smith/events/actions/navigation-conf

You will see a bunch of errors, but this will fix the problem.
