Ethernet card or internal ADSL??

Ethernet card or internal ADSL??
« on: October 11, 2001, 10:31:40 AM »
New to this!! It is not clear to me when setting up e-smith gateway about the network cards. I have an internal 3Com PCI ADSL modem #3CP3617. It sets up and works fine in WinMe, where it lists as a network device in Device Manager. Does this mean that it can be used as the external network card in e-smith? When configuring e-smith it does not detect this card, so at this point I need some help/advice. Am I wrong in this approach - do I need an external ADSL ethernet hub like the M1122? Can't see anything in the user guide. Thanks for any help.

I don't know what an M1122 is, but you do need an external ADSL modem. There is no support for internal ADSL modems at this stage.
