Topic: SME Server as a Syslog Server

Hi

My Netgear router allows me to send syslog events to a Syslog server via an IP address.

Can I use my SME box collect this data and if so are there any settings I should take into consideration?

Ideally, I'd like to see the results in the var/log area so I can look at them through server-manager....

Not en detail but "man syslogd" gives some hints, esp. SUPPORT FOR REMOTE LOGGING may be of interest for you. Please report back you findings.
