Hi friends.

I just installed the http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/jprice/beta/e-smith-advworkgroup/ on SME 6.0.1 and I works great, but as I also needed my SME server to join an existing Windows NT 4 Domain controller, I used Greg Zartman’s howto: http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/smeserver/contribs/gzartman/HowToGuides/SME_DomainClientHowto.htm - it all worked great – so here is my suggestion.

Why not upgrade the default workgroup setting link in /server-manager with the advanced version, and furthermore, why not upgrade it more so you are able to join an existing PDC, as described in Greg’s howto.

Unfortunately I don’t have the skills to do it my self, so this is just a suggestion.

My setup works great thanks to the community – I just impressed our Windows Administrator at the company
