Topic: Can send mail but can nor receive mail.

I have finaly got MX records fixed with domain name and DNSreports all pass except connection to mailserver. I can send mail from webmail and send inter mail within the server but can not receive mail from the internet. Able to ping server. Also could not get outlook to retreive mail ether until I disabled https. This solved one problem but could not send messages from bellsouth to my mail server. Any help would be greatly appriated. I have been banging my head for about a week now. Thank you.

Do you have a firewall in there somewhere? I had the same problem until I opened a port to receive as well as send. I set port 110 was for inbound and 25 was for outbound.

Hi John,

On your firewall you only have to forward port 25 to recieve emails, port 110 is for external pop access to your server
