how to add in custom user panels in 6.0
« on: May 02, 2005, 03:52:07 PM »
:hammer: Hello. I got the upgrade installed and everything seems to be working.

I looked all around the site here for docs, etc. I noticed some panels that were to see what was installed, what version, etc. How do I install those here? I did a copy and past eso I have them all saved to my hard drive but I don't know how to add them in. Can you help me with that?

I know I don't know spit about Linux (It ought to be obvious by now.) but I am trying to learn. Please help. Thanks.

What additional functions do you need?
Each add-on provide some specific functionality (or a few related)
Tell us what you want to do and we may suggest what add-on to use for it (and where to get it).

:hammer: When I was going to upgrade from 5.6 to 6.0 I looked around here and read every doc I could find. Some of those docs had user panels where you could click and it'd list the rpm's that were installed and those that were available but not yet installed. That'd be nice.

I believe one gave the option to force the rpm install, one checked to see if and where updates were available. I believe the name of the base htm file was "Installing RPMs.html"

As well there was one for antivrus of the email. It showed what emails were infected and gave the option to rescan or to delete the files, to scan the entire email directory, etc.

Any idea where I can get these and how to install them? Thanks in advance.

Read this and learn
http://www.dungog.net/sme/help/
and look at the many GPL contribs there.

Read the various howtos in the contribs area of contribs.org and other sites, you will glean a lot of useful information from them and also find the contribs that you are after.

Check out www.swerts-knudsen.dk also, one of many other useful sites.

You need to ask specific questions and not be too general in your requests.
