It has been asked before, but I'll shoot once again:
-Is there a way to modify the settings so I can have more than 28 groups?
Maybe something like the db MaxAccountName?

So if you know it has been asked before, then why not do a search for the answers ?
The reasoning as to why there is a limitation has been answered, but there is no simple fix for it and as I remember it there is not likely to be one either as it's in the too hard basket.
Search for more info !

I assume you mean "can't search" and that I said you have a simple mind.
I never said anything like that so please don't misrepresent or imply what I said. I simply asked:

"if you know it has been asked before, then why not do a search for the answers ?"
I see nothing offensive in that whatsoever and it is certainly nothing to get reactive about. I asked a simple question without making any comment about you personally.
I also gave you the brief answer from my memory without me having to spend any of my time to go and search for the details, as you could have done yourself.

You're right, didn't search enough!
Reason for it is that the number of groups a user can be part of is 28, and the admin should belong to all, therefore limiting.

Actually, that is not the answer to the question you asked. That is the reason for the current limitation.

However, if the role of admin were redefined and redesigned, then it would not be necessary to have admin be a part of every group. That is not a simple task, though, so I doubt you'll find anyone up to tackling it outside of a major redevelopment effort.

I've even found ways to do so, but it's something that requires a lot of maintenance with scripts running to make the admin not part of a group.
