Getting "Domain not in list of allowed RCPT hosts - 553
« on: May 25, 2005, 06:06:26 PM »
I am hosting email for a client. They are NOT part of my local network but have a domain and email accounts setup on my SME 6.0 server. When they try to send outbound email they get the following error
"Domain not in list of allowed RCPT hosts - SMTP 553" error.
How do I allow them to send email from their network using my SME server?

Inbound email is working fine. I understand that the problem I am having is done by design in SME to prevent relaying, but I still need to allow these users to be able send outbound email if they are authenticated. I dont' want to specify each domain that they can send outbound email to. I need it to be any outbound domain. Is this possible in SME?

Thanks in advance

Install the secure mail contrib from pagefault.org, enable it in server manager and and get your user to configure their email client for secure smtp via your server
