Topic: Port Forwarding ?

Hi,
I got a small problem javascript:emoticon
A friend of mine had to move for a short time and I said that I could have his SME mail server at my place.
I got the server connected to my network, I gave it at IP addressee (192.168.0. and I could connect to the webmail and the server collected mail from a POP3 account, so fare so good.

My problem is how do I give him access to the server?
My guess was that I had to user “Port Forwarding” but how do I get it to work?

I have a static IP addressee and I have my one SME mail server connected.

What access does he want/need ie email, ftp, vpn, http (password controlled) ???

Thanks for your answer.
I only need access to the webmail, at his mail server.

I have given the mail server the IP 192.168.0.8 and connected it to my lan/hub.

if you use 192.168.0.8 as SME server address, you have a router/firewall in front of it. You will need to forward ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) from your router's public address to internal address 192.168.0.8 per your ROUTER/FIREWALL's instructions.
