Topic: backup only email

hi,
i am running SME 5.6
over the months / years I have installed a lot of rubbish.
now, the mysqld hangs about once a day.. affecting my websites badly.

i feel like installing frsh copy of latest stable SME on my server and start afresh. however, i would like first to backup mysql, ibays and email.

i know how to backup mysql and ibays but not email.

i dont want to use sme backup because i dont want to restore the server fully because  i think the files are a bit dirty...

please let me know how to backup our mail accounts (we have about 4 people using imap)..

Hi there. The upgrade to the latest stable version would indeed be a wise move.

If you back up the users homespaces it should include all their mails. Please don't try this until someone else verifies. I know that this is what I do and have done a full system restore and all worked fine but this was backup up from 6.0.1 to 6.0.1. Not sure how the version difference will affect things though.

Anyone confirm that this would be ok?
