Topic: port 80 closed on SME 6.0.1 (public server & gateway mod

I have been running version 6.0.1 for some time now and i have heavily modded the server with most of the contribs available (including, spamassasin, horde 3, port opening, port forwarding, masq manager etc....

But for some reason port 80 is stealthed on my server so i'm unable to access my homepage, i have tried using the contrib port opening (although this port is meant to be open by default ?) to open port 80 but this didnt work (the port opened but i was still unable to access my webpage) (www.kainer.co.uk)

i have done the common port probe on www.grc.com and 80 is still showing as closed.

any idea's anyone ??

(i have even re-run the system config coz i thought i might have had the server in private server/gateway, but no its in public server-gateway mode. i just cant figure it out

Port 80 is blocked but 443 is open... hmmm

Does your isp block port 80 ?

no my ISP doesnt block port 80, it was fine about a week ago but when i've came back to work and tried to connect to it it just times out, i cant figure out whats wrong with it, i've even tried the port opening contrib and just opended port 80, but this didnt work. So i even tried the port forwarding contrib and just gave it the server ip, but this didnt work either,

the only other thing i can think of is that i recently installed the masq contrib and i'm starting to think that maybe a default rule has some how blocked port 80 ??

when i get in from work tonight i'm gunna phone my ISP (NTL) and confirm they havent blocked port 80, but i dont think they have because my friend has also got SME 6.0.1 installed and he's on the same ISP as me and his server is fine :S

I took a look at NTL's terms & conditions and they permit webservers. In that case I doubt they would block port 80.

Does iptables -L -n in the console give any clues to what is happening to port 80 ?
