Hi!

READ CAREFULLY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED...

1 - Don't upgrade if you don't have to. Make sure to read Changelogs from http://www.php.net.

2 - You upgrade at your own risk, almost all questions about upgrading php is asked and answered many times in these forums so use "Search".
(PS: I will not have access to a computer until next week...)

3 - I think this time ()I've included all necessary pear-modules so that shouldn't be a problem. I had to make a mimor modification to configure line (se http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=33648), make sure it's not an issue for you...

4 - You'll have to upgrade your accelerators (eAccelerator or MMCache), latest Zend Optimizer v2.5.10 doesn't yet support php4.4.0 so be aware.

So if you still want to give it a try and upgrade your php and php-eaccelerator
