url trailing slash, ZoneEdit, fails to load

OK guys.  I think this is probably something to do with ZoneEdit (actually quite sure)...but thought I'd ask here as I can find no ZoneEdit forums.

I have to host my SME server on a port other than 80.  I use 8080.  I have ZoneEdit set up properly to forward any requests for www.dark7.org to ww2.dark7.org:8080.

Everything works properly when going to the base domain name, and when going to other directories, such as http://dark7.org/gallery/  ....but I HAVE to use the trailing slash.  If I don't put the trailing slash on, it seems to try to forward to ww2.dark7.org/folder/ without adding on the new port number.

Is there anything someone can reccomend?  There are lots of programs that do not put on the trailing slash (since the server can cope with it), so they don't get directed to the correct port...like webmail.  I can access it by going to http://dark7.org/webmail/ ...but after I log in, it tries to redirect to something without a trailing slash, so it errors out.  If I put in the address it tries to go to, and add the trailing slash myself in the address bar, it'll go to the right place.

Any help?

(PS, also still looking for a way to get my iptables rule to run when the computer boots up, so I don't have to manually do it via SSH each time to get it running on the right port)
