/var/log/messages, if you have turned on firewall logging.

However, please stop using 5.x - nobody has supported them for years and they have known, exploitable security holes.

6.0 was released in December 2003 - upgrade to it, or even better to 6.5
............

I know .. I intend to upgrade to 6.1 sometime between now and October... (another thread) what is up with 6.5 RC ... why is it not just plain 6.5 ?is it still a beta ?

I strongly advise anyone on 5.x to consider upgrading well before today.

It is a "Release Candidate" - Alpha/Beta/Release Candidate/Gold.
