anyone tried the followinf dlink gigabite card with sme 6.x

Hi,

Think this has already been covered but 6.x won't support it.  I have a 6.5 installation in the house and I think the 530 is supported with this.

but i am in philippines and i cant just buy stuff abroad :( and i dont think altex is avialable in our market here. what we have are the most commmon one's 3com, dlink, linksys..

Perhaps a little o/t but you guys running 1000 lan find much of an improvement over 100?  Would have thought the PCI bus would be saturated  once yet get over about 400MB/s.  At this point you are also relying on hard drive transfer rates (about 40MB/s or 320Mb/s max).
