Download Metering

Hi All

I am currently using SME 6.01-01 Custom. I want to install something that tells me how much download (and upload) I have done for the month. I currently have MRTG and phpsysinfo installed and Don't really get a download (or Upload) value for the month.

Is there anything available that will do what I am looking for?

I have search using "usage" and nothing came up that I felt did this job.

Please help?

Hi Adrian,

You should try installing rtg from http://rtg.sourceforge.net/

It actually tells you how much data has been tranasferred.

I'm currently running SME 7.0 Beta1 and have installed it. The only problem is with mine, is that it can't find the snmp server, I think Iv'e set it up wrong or something, lol.

Do a search on contribs.org for IOG - I did a howto for it on SME6.0, and it shows pretty much what you're after. IOG breaks it down into hourly/daily/monthly blocks.

If you use Knuddi's (swerts-knudsen's) MRTG script that will do the hard part of SNMP install and interface enumeration. All you really have to do then is look up the mrtg.cfg file his script creates, take note of the interface you want metrics of then plug that into the iog.cfg.

I might re-write that howto for SME7 and/or Knuddi's MRTG one day.
