Intranet and FTP server questions - from a noobie

I have played around for a while with SME6 and I was actually quite amazed with how easy it was to set up and use + the speed that can be sqeezed out of otherwise old and obsolete hardware - kudos to the dev team!

Now for my questions. I was planning to use it (to begin with at least) as an Internet FTP server for different customers (i-bays seems pretty cut for that) and at the same time for an Intranet server alowing different departments of hawing their own easy to use intranetsite (i-bays again).

This seems quite easy to do by default - but I have a few quirks I would like to solve before going for it.

First of all I would like to have some better control of how the bays are managed? For instance make certain bays with only FTP file contents visible? And also can I make some easy way for the people who will be recieving the files from customers on FTP to get full access directly to all different customers folders (bays) from one share (both SMB and AFP)? Instead of going throug server\bay1\files, server\bay2\files etc. This seems especially tiresome to do from a Mac becaus you have to mount every different share as a network share on the desktop (20+ drives on the desktop != funny!).

Last at least! Can I make this work with my existing Windows2003 domain server? Autenticating users from my AD?

I really hope I'm not asking to many dumb questions! :-)

Maybe I should be looking for an altogether different server than SME?!? But I must admit I quite like how easy it is to create a secure wan/lan server/gateway with SME...
