failure notice locking up Outlook because of size
« on: September 06, 2005, 09:49:19 PM »
My users have been getting failure notice emails that are from 18MB to 34MB in size.  This locks up Outlook for some time while it processes the message.  I have to uninstall the AV software or it takes forever to delete the messages.  What can I do so shorten the messages or fix the issue.

Example:
From:MAILER-DAEMON@mydomain.com
Subject: failure notice

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mydomain.com. I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses. This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Below this is tons of jibberish

Thanks,
Rick

Don't try to send large messages and you won't get large bounces.

If you want to delete the bounce messages from inboxes without using outlook, you can do it with webmail.
