Topic: secure email smtp auth not working

Hi all,

I have 6.0 installed with spam and AV contribs and have now added secure email as well.

smtp auth however does not work.

when I try to login into smtp I get this :

      ehlo
      250-carrier.tbm.co.za
      250-AUTH LOGIN
      250-8BITMIME
      250 PIPELINING
      auth login
      334 VXNlcm5hbWU6
      bain
      334 UGFzc3dvcmQ6
      *******
      501 Could not decode the response.

Any clue on how to get past this ?

Did you try setting it up in outlook express?

Make sure to use the proper ports:

POP3 -- uses port 995

SMTP -- uses port 465

IMAP4 -- uses port 993
