That HOWTO is not required on any version. It is also going to conflict with future changes to templates.

- Create a group
- This automatically creates a mailing list for the group
- Modify the user account to forward to the group

I have followed your advise and notified the forward as groupname, the incoming mail is captured by the user, however, the group members are not able to receive the mail.

If you believe you have found a bug, please raise it in the SourceForge bug tracker. Please check that you have configured the user to forward mail, as well as configuring the address.
