Topic: Can this be done? (flexbackup to disk choice)

Hi,

I just configured Des Dougan's and Darrel May's script on how to back up to a disk using flexbackup.  It worked fine.  Unfortunately for me I want a choice.  I can't backup to desktop since the file is too big...I sometimes would like to backup to disk, but not all the time since when I'm away on vacation the disk will fill up quickly.  I was wondering if anyone has a script or an idea of how to incorporate a choice into the e-smith manager which will allow us to choose whether we want to use the disk or the tape.  I am able to undo the disk setup by changing the device from

/sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop backup Device /mnt/backup
back to
sbin/e-smith/db configuration setprop backup Device /dev/nst0

and so forth....but I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to write a script that would let us have our cake and eat it too?

Open to ideas...
