Topic: Restore from tape

SME v5.0

Tape drive: Seagate 20/40 DDS4

did a backup to tape and this completed 2G in 45Mins.

did a restore which took about the same amount of time.

Problem is I cannot log in as either root or admin ( both on the server and through ssh )

so to reboot after a restore from tape requires a hardware reset?

Is this correct, and has anyone come accross this.

You are correct. Once completing the restore you have to reboot for the changes to take effect. The web panel tells you this. See the manual here:
