WE have a NT Small Business Server 4.5 with client consisting of win98 and NT 4, we log onto the NT domain from the windows boot up login.  I have set the workgroup and server name in the e-smith workgroup setup to the NT domain name and server name respectively.

We can access the net with the IE settings set for the e-smith server as the proxy server, and we can retrieve our mail from the mail services, having set the e-smith server ip as a gateway.  The workgroup in the client identification is set to the NT domain also.

The e-smith manager and change paswords works fine, i can see the e-smith server in the network neighbourhood under the entire networks page.

Why cant i access the server or see the folders or and ibay i setup up, even after resetting the password to activate it???

we set ip addresses manuall, but this all seem to work ok pinging is fine!

HI,

When you look at the e-smith server in "Entire Networks" what actually comes up,
Is there an error messages or anything?? Or is it just a blank page??

You could try looking at your e-smith server this way,

Click on start
Click on Run
Type in \ip.address.of.e-smith.server (eg, \192.168.1.1)

Let me know what happpens,

Peter.
