I just installed and used this for the first time today. I tinkered with it all afternoon and overall, I think this is a good OS.

I suggest adding an option to change the user's default (home) directory. When you create a user, linux makes that user a home directory, but it would be nice to specify which *drive* it goes on. I know this can be done at the CLI, but with this one feature, setting up a fileserver for use with windows clients would be an absolute breeze.  I plan to use this server with a 160GB external USB hard drive.

Does anyone know how many (simultaneous) sessions are supported? This is only going to support about 35 users.

PS, I know my terminology screams newbie and yes, Im still pretty green to linux. Everyday I find more and more that linux is much more customizable than MS products. There's just so much to learn.

Release 7 will use the logical volume manager, and so shuffling data around will be somewhat easier. The system is designed around a single disk or a mirrored pair, but with release 7 you can make use of RAID5 or RAID6 volumes. My suggestion would be to just use a pair of drives and mirror them.

You don't mention what the PC specs are, but your average $1000 PC will handle well over 100 users without issue.
