Topic: Adding new webshare requires restarting httpd?

I recently installed the webshare contrib for 6.0 on my 6.5 SME server.  The functionality of the webshares seems to work fine, but it seems that every time I add a new webshare, I need to restart the httpd.  Is this normal?  Is it like samba and merely needs to wait for a period of time before the config file is reread?

On another note, webshare is handy, but is there any way to have it use users home folders?  Alternatively, are there any other similar programs that provide this functionality?
