Topic: 6.0 Command promt / SquidGuard

I am attempting to get to command promt on version 6.0.  I am used to useing version 5 and wondering how to do it in the new version.

My ultimate goal is to be able to load squidguard.  I see that they have forms of it already on this version, but I would like to be able to download the 'blacklist' for blocking websites as well as add websites on my own that I would like blocked.

Do it the same way, login as root !

I can not log off.  When I attempt to log off in version 6.0 it logs me right back on.  Even when I restart the computer it comes back already logged in to the main screen.

I assume you are seeing the Server Console menu screen. You need to run the Configure this server option and disable Auto login. You will then boot to a login prompt every time.

Alternatively just select the Exit from the server console option and then you will see the login prompt. Login as root to get the command prompt or login as admin to get the server console screen.
