Hardware upgrade advice needed...

I am replacing the hard drive on my server with a new, much larger drive.  The easiest path I came up with was to just set the machine up and do a 'dd' copy from one drive to another.  One question I have is can I resize a partition right from linux, or do I need to use something like Partition Magic?  I am moving from a 40 Gig drive to a 100Gig drive.  I had considered just creating a new parition and mounting it, but I would rather change some of the partition sizes to use the whole thing.  My server box is physically space constrained, so I can't just add the new physical drive inside the box, I need to replace it with the bigger drive.  Any advice would be helpful.

Sorry, didn't look deep enough in the docs.  I found resize2fs to do the job.  Anyone have any tips on using it?
