Filter Adult Email
« on: December 02, 2005, 02:11:49 AM »
Good Evening,

1. I have Spamassassin installed.

2. Now to the issue.

I would like to be able to do something like Dansguardian does with http traffic for email. I know spamassassin and other email filters will filter spam email because it recognizes it. I want to be able to filter ALL email for adult oriented content regardless of who sends it. I'm starting to get sick and tired of adult oriented email that is coming from teacher friends to the school server. I know I'm not catching half of it. The only ones I'm catching are the ones sent to a wrong email address to my server and I receive the email in my administration box.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Not a direct solution but implementing these will reduce the incidence of those type of messages getting through.

Set a lower sensitivity eg 4 points in Spamassassin.
Enable RBL lists in the Spam Filter.
If already using RBL's, add more RBL lists to block more possible sources.
Enable the Pattern matching contrib and configure it to block certain file types that you commonly receive that are a problem eg gif image files etc etc.
Note this will block any message with those file types.
Refer to the HOWTO.

Perhaps you should adjust the points that spamassassin gives for adult-oriented material. For myself I've made a file named user_prefs and changed some points. This should be possible at system-wide-level.

Just make the points lots more, than adult mail will be marked as junk.
