I need some help with dial up!!
« on: December 07, 2001, 12:21:32 AM »
Hi fellows!! I have two little problems with e-smith! the first one is, I can not get dial up working!! I was using FreeSCO with a dial-up connection, and everything works fine. I have an external ISDN modem, and I used it like a regular modem (only faster), I just configure FreeSCO to use a modem on com1, I pluged in and it works!!, I tried the same on e-smith, and there is no sign that the modem get any instruction!! is there a work around to do?? can you help me or point me to the right direction!!!

My second problem, well, is there a way to work with two serial connections, two dial out to the internet, so I can "duplicate" the bandwith?? if you can help me, I'll really appreciated!!

Many thans!!

Have a look in your /var/log/messages file. If you think you have found a bug, please send a detailed report to bugs@e-smith.com.

There is currently no support for multilink PPP, and no immediate plans to develop it. We are, however, planning to introduce support for internal ISDN  cards with version 5.1, and doing multilink with those may be easier than with serial TAs.
