Hi!

Check http://dag.wieers.com/packages/php-eaccelerator/

You will have to modify ownership for /var/cache/php-eaccelerator

# chown www.www -R /var/cache/php-eaccelerator

Good luck

Hi Ergin
Thanks for your help!

If you don't mind me asking, is there any danger with running this side by side with turck-mmcache?

I have to admit I'm not sure which is better or more recent. I've seen conflicting sites that said one replaced the other. And I'm not sure which is better for my needs.

Which one do you use?

thanks!

Geoffrey

They cannot run aside, eaccelerator is successor to turck-mmcache

Developer of turck-mmcache was hired by Zend (sometime late 2003 I tthink) and after that eAccelerator was initiated to continue the work. Turck-mmcache is not developed anymore, the latest stable release was 2.4.6 and latest dev-release was 2.4.7.

I use eaccelerator and quite happy with it.
