sme7 - mailman

I noticed that e-smith-mailman-1.1.10-03.noarch.rpm should work under sme7b1

so I was wondering if there is some kind of manual or guide on how to install it.

I'm using a sme7b9 box

downloaded:
- e-smith-mailman-1.1.10-03.noarch.rpm
- mailman-2.1.5-23es02.i386.rpm

even did a yum update of mailman to version: 3:2.1.5-33.rhel4

after a reboot, I get the link to mailman in the unknown section of the menu of server-manager (no problems so far)

it says that mailman is currently disabled and that the mailman web interface is found in https://<servername>/mailman/listinfo.

but clicking that only gives me:
Not Found

The requested URL /mailman/listinfo was not found on this server.

I believe that there is an smeserver-mailman package which works with 7.0beta9.  Try Gordon Rowell's contrib directory.

I tried the Gordon Rowell's contrib on SME 7 pre 1:

The files I used:
e-smith-ezmlm-web-1.1.1-05.noarch.rpm
ezmlm-idx-std-0.40-2.i386.rpm
ezmlm-web-2.1-06.i386.rpm
perl-Ezmlm-0.03.1-1.i386.rpm

It fails on:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        apache is needed by ezmlm-web-2.1-06.i386

Does anyone has an alternative or hints how to fix this?

regards, Ruud Glijnis

SME 7 doesn't have apache, but does have httpd, and that is all that is really required. You should be able to use "rpm -Uhv --nodeps *.rpm".

HELLO,
ezmlm:

it installs "without probleme" with --nodeps, but there's some bug in the server manager.

I will open a new subject "sme 7 ezmlm mailing list"
