Trying to combine 2 issues here. The custom ISO doesn't boot and has no usable boot image to make a floppy from. However, I got the frontpage extensions stuff from it so the download was not a total waste.
These 2002 extensions don't install exactly as described in the instructions. There is a rogue backslash in one instruction and the new frontpage template you have to create must have some black magic or hidden characters in it. If you don't cut and paste the text, the template fails.
I finally got a successful install only to discove the functionality to save form data to the /_private folder returns a FP extensions not installed error and I can't publish to the sites I extended with the FP consol.
Also the "upload file" web component of frontpage pulls the same stunt. Using the port 8090 log in to extend the domains listed, works but the results are not satisfactory in that the link to configure the newly extended server returns a 404. The folder it points to can't be found.
If any one can help me setup a "method" to save form data and upload 1 or several image files to my server ( I run a canvas print centre) It will save me the hassles of installing Windows server just to get this function.
These problems are not SME exclusive. I bought a hosting package from Go Daddy and have the exact same problem.
I've been trying for 6 months to get something like this working. Help please? Charge me if you like, just be sure you can do it.
Doug
