I'm using Darryl May's backup2ws contrib for backups, but I find it useful to examine the backup and restore screen for how much space I'm using to determine the backup size. Call me cheap, but I'm trying to keep my backup small enough to fit on a single DVD. Here's my problem. My backup and restore panel shows my data and configuration as 2 gb and total disk as 6 gig. The total disk space figure is more accurate. The quota panel, shows the total usage of all users at about 2.7 gb.
I'm trying to understand where these numbers are coming from. I know that the quota panel supposedly includes any files that each user has copied into shared ibays. However after I recently resintalled the system, the quota panel does not seem to include the stuff in the ibays.
