How install a Software RAID in SME 7RC1
« on: January 17, 2006, 09:30:28 PM »
I was using the automatic Software RAID installation on SME 7.0beta8 and now a wanna know how I can install a Software RAID system is a fresh installation of SME 7.0RC1 without loss any data from my server.

I know that I need change the file system from "Linux" to "Linux RAID" and use "mdadm" to create the array, but my question is, when I change my file system from Linux to Linux RAID, this will make me lose the data on this disk?

Regards (and sorry about my english!)

Just boot the 7.0-pre1 CDROM and upgrade (which will be the default choice).

No, you don't need to do such things.
