Topic: Paying Developer to make contrib *idea*

Hi,

I read from a post that dev's will create a contrib for i.e in this example a USB ADSL support modem (as per Charlie's post)

Now wouldn't it be a good idea if more than one person would like that specific contrib all the user's who require it could put a "pot" of money towards paying one dev to do this? this way one person is not paying whole amount and it's split between say 10 forum users.

Maybe someone could give an idea as to how much (guesstimate) it would cost to do something like this as a future thought?
