RAID 1 problems with booting
« on: January 24, 2006, 04:52:52 PM »
Hi.
I have installed sme 7.0pre1 on a hardware raid-1 on an onboard raidcontroller. This works very fine.
Then I have created another hardware raid-1, on an adaptec controller.
But now, my sme will not boot. It comes to "uncompressing kernel" and then it stops forever.
If I erase the supplementary raid-1 again, sme boots again.
Please help.
Loejf.

"on an adaptec controller"

You possibly have an issue which could be hardware related - This is not the place to try to sort it out, and at any rate, I am not the person who can do this.  Please try to retrace your steps, and see if this problem can be repeated.  Then fill a Bug report, providing as much information as possible.. In this way, the developpers will have all information available in one central place without having to search the forum.  Thanks.
