Topic: Help to check raid 1

Hey

I have Raid 1 in HW mode.... And have this info, Is it ok

/root$ cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid1]
md2 : active raid1 sdb2[1] sda2[0]
      160730240 blocks [2/2] [UU]
     
md1 : active raid1 sdb1[1] sda1[0]
      104320 blocks [2/2] [UU]

Seems okay i use same

[root@gateway ~]# cat /proc/mdstat

md1 : active raid1 hdc1[1] hda1[0]

SOME Raid1 is ok here:
"[UU]"  - does show you both devices are "U"p and running...
sda, sdb - means you are on 2 SCSI or SATA or "at least not on IDE" drives

BUT
you do have a SOFTWARE RAID1 SME7 running here...
so whatever that "HW" in your questions signifies...
the above may also mean your HardWare is not working!
