Ever wanted to install your SME Server without any CD in your box ?
 
So if you want to boot your PC equipped with i.e.: a VIA-EPIA (it has a so-called  PXE-boot capability which of course has to be enabeld in the BIOS ) mainboard which is already screwed without any CD or DVD inside ( yes cause you want to reduce current rush into your 24/7 running small little device ) and install the latest SME Server ?

Works like a charm with MacOSX and IPCOP.
All the explanations may need changes and to be modified relating to your personal configuration. So please be aware !
The network is setup with IPCOP as a firewall giving access to the internet for the internal computers. The IPCOP is configured as DHCP Server. The Apple Powerbook will be configured as TFTP Server and FTP Server.
