I recently did a clean install of sme7.0pre. after using 6.5
initial thoughts are good.

admin panel is a little different that earlier versions especially email.

I'm not receiving external emails! (internal is of course fine)
which setting do I need to change?

That depends on why you are not receiving external mail. Are you getting external connection attempts (qpsmtpd logs will tell you)? If not, and you do have an external link, then the problem is not with SME server software. Does the DNS publisher for your domain publish the correct MX record in DNS?
