Can I install SME Server on these new Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives???

If so is the install any different than installing on a IDE Hard drive?

  First... try searching the forums.  This was a frequent topic of discussion back when if was difficult...  If you have searched tell people up fron and explain your problem.  Folks around here tend to get a bit snippy when others to make an effort to search.

  Okay... SATA is problematic with SME6.0, mostly works with SME 6.5 and works perfectly with SME7pre1.  If you want to run 6.0 you can always get a special SATA card from 3ware.
