Shoutcast on SME / Pre3

I was following the instructions found at http://no.longer.valid/mylinks/index.php with a little note about the SME 7 version I am trying to setup email and live audia broadcasting for an FM radio station at my location. We are just experimenting but if we could get it to work even Darwin sounds nice ;-)

----This is what we get-----
[root@felix ~]# service shoutcast start
: bad interpreter: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefundenh
/sbin/e-smith/service: line 10: /etc/rc7.d/S92shoutcast: Erfolg
[root@felix ~]#
-----This is what we get-----

The server is run is server only mode.

Hopefully there will be some experienced users out there , I wont be able solve this myself,

Thank you in advance, Peter

I know I'm necroing this thread, but did you get this working, peterth?  I updated my HOWTO on installing SHOUTCast to include SME7.

http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/InstallSHOUTcast

Your error sounds like a problem I had when I was getting this lined out.  I got a "bad interpreter" error.  It turned out it was because I had edited the shoutcast.sh file in windows using notebad (a big no-no).  All I had to do to resolve this was to open shoutcast.sh using pico, then re-saving it.  It fixed the CR problems, and viola, working shell script!   :-)

thank you for this hint, but I get the same error even under the 6.0.1 relaise, if we can manage I could give you access to the server running shoutcast and if we are in good mooth you could have a look yourself.

please contact me under murmele@radionord.it, I will setup this user for a short time but not before tomorrow ,

Thank's in advance, Peter
