Server and Gateway OS ?'s

I have a large question to ask.

While cruising around through the message board about 4 or 5 days ago I stumbled upon a link to a website that had a free OS similar to Mitel's SME V.5.

I saw it in a topic that had to do with Chmod'ing but I totally lost the forum description or anything.

The OS was really similar in that it pretty much did the same thing as Mitel's version.

What I am getting at is that I am in the middle of doing some research before I really invest in anything.

If at all possible could you guys and girls that read this please list sites that you know about that have any sort of all in one Linux Server OS.

- Consisting of, CGI, PHP, FTP, Web, MAIL, things of that nature.

hello Doug,

to start with heres a similar product to the e-smith lines (actually derrived from the base e-smith version) but with kernels 2.4 support and many other good utils (these guys are trying to integrate many things into one like Hylafax and the stuff) and trying to use the new versions of many things together .... at this point I'd like to wish them all the very best!!)
http://www.axonlinux.org (at this moment they are offline !! 29/12/2001 )

then theres astaro  which is very much into security but the downside is that they have a couple of versions which are not GNU based and so not freely available or useable. (they charge money for full product and are closed to outside development -- bad idea i think personally but good product I evaulated it personally and think some of its security features should be adopted in e-mith too)

similar lines with astaro is the mandrake Single Network Firewall 7.2
SNF is based on mandrakes 7.2

checkout fireplug's thin linux The Lineo EDGE Project similar to freesco at
http://edge.fireplug.net/

and ofcourse the nice freesco at
http://www.freesco.org
http://www.fromscratch.org.uk/Mirrored (direct download also for modules)

or clarkconnect which sounds quite useful as they just made a new release but now are asking money for many services !!

some others to conclude are
