Topic: Frustrated with 7.0

I just did a clean install of server 7.0pre4 and had it working great with about 5 users on it and a default webpage, I had 2 groups and the email went to the people in the groups as well as their personal accounts.  After adding an additional 20 users and 18 groups the server stopped receiving email and I could not access the web either. At this point I can’t even ping the external address, I have SBC DSL account with static IP and no router or firewall.  Also note that the proxy server works fine so that means that the external IP is working.  I can access the webpage and webmail page using the internal mailserver name or IP….seems like some kind of built-in firewall setting,  I’ll post this in a bug report also.  Thanx, all help is greatly appreciated.

My bad….I worked on this problem for a day and a half then decided to try another one of my 5 static ip’s and everything worked fine so I called my isp to ask if there could be a problem with only 1 ip.  To make a long story short I reset the LAN router which has nothing to do with this server and retried the ping, now all works great.  I still don’t know how the router could block my access to an external ip and only block 1 of the 5 ip’s I have.  Anyway the server is working great at this time.
